Inside Pictures, the highly respected film business training programme, launches its 2010 programme on 3 November 2009.

Now in its seventh year, the programme focuses on developing the practical knowledge, management skills, industry profile and cross-industry contact network needed for leaders to thrive in the global business of film. Comprising three intensive one-week modules, and much more, Inside Pictures takes place in London and Los Angeles between February and July 2010. Seminars, workshops, studio visits and events are hosted by many of the US and UK's most senior industry professionals, including Peter Bazalgette, David Fincher, Rick Finklestein, Tessa Ross and Chuck Roven. The programme covers all aspects of the international film business - from development through production, financing, worldwide distribution, marketing and exhibition. This year, Inside Pictures will be concentrating heavily on the skills needed to build a sustainable business, and the digital future for the international film industry.

The successful applicants will be up to 15 executives and producers who display determination to succeed. They will probably have at least five years' experience in film or an associated creative industry such as television.

Neil Peplow, Skillset's Director of Film, said:

"Inside Pictures provides a fantastic development programme for established executives and producers looking to move their careers on to an international level. We need to nurture home grown talent so they can go on to become future leaders of the UK film industry, and ensure that we compete successfully in the global marketplace. I am delighted that Skillset is able to fund Qwerty Pictures to deliver this internationally acclaimed scheme, and look forward to meeting the class of 2010."

Michael Kuhn, Chairman of Qwerty Films, said:

"I'm most grateful that Skillset has once again agreed to support this programme which so many people have told me they value and for which I am sure we will get our usual host of applicants wanting to learn and meet the leaders of our industry."

Jill Tandy and Julia Short, the Programme Directors, said:

"Inside Pictures counts many of today's industry leaders amongst its alumni because it has consistently enjoyed the support of an incredible line-up of senior practitioners from every area of the business, who share their wisdom and knowledge so generously."

Inside Pictures is presented by Qwerty Films and supported by Skillset. The programme is funded through the Skillset Film Skills Fund, which is supported by the National Lottery through the UK Film Council and the film industry through the Skills Investment Fund. The LA module is supported by the UK Film Council US office.

Application forms can be downloaded from www.inside-pictures.com or requested from the Inside Pictures office on 020 7288 6990. The deadline for applications is 27 November 2009.
